A NEW PIECE OF ART AT SALTE TRUSCHE FRUIT OF AN ART RECIDENCY

Katarina Nord, a professional muralist and dear friend of ours and the project, has given us an imaginary panorama that softens and complements the true colors of the olive grove, the center of our land, and gives inspiration and beauty to the old but still functioning water cisterns on the road leading to Salte Trusche.

More than a thousand words, the before and after:

The creative process was incredibly fast, as they say, flowing!

Kat was looking for a large surface to best express her artistic passion, and we immediately offered the formidable concrete tanks, requesting a project that would blend harmoniously with the surrounding context.

Then we created the color palette together, three colors plus white to create a variety of tones.

The third step was choosing the design: Kat practically invented it in an hour in front of the tanks and approved it by us in a minute!

Finally, the implementation, first the chalk lines and then the application of the colors, in which both Francesca and Selva wanted to participate, to facilitate Kat’s work but also for the sake of taste.

You can already see the result, but you’re all welcome to appreciate it in person. It pampers us residents every day, both for its beauty and for the affection that binds us to its creator.

The title of the work is Love for the Land.

The artist’s website for those who want to bring beauty to their spaces (even public ones): katarinanord.com. Kat lives between Slovakia, Austria, and Trentino, spending time with us in Tuscia at least once a year.
