On the land where the association is based, two of our members produce superb extra virgin olive oil: certified organic, cold-pressed, unfiltered, hand-harvested and with eco-friendly labelling.
At the start of the season, usually the first weekend in October, they organise a harvest festival to which all members are invited to attend. An olive oil tasting is on the cards, but above all, the joy of being together is guaranteed!
The olive trees are all of the Caninese variety, much loved by connoisseurs for its emerald green colour, slightly peppery flavour, intense, vibrant and persistent aroma, and full, smooth texture. The acidity is very low, whilst the levels of valuable polyphenols are very high.
They also produce a blend of local varieties – Caninese, Leccino and Frantoio – sweeter and fruitier.
The producers’ commitment is to work in harmony with nature, through:
– caring for soil biodiversity, avoiding the use of heavy equipment and planting beneficial species;
– pruning that respects the physiology of the plant;
– the use of renewable energy sources to power the hand-held shaker;
– the reuse of prunings as a source of home heating, compost, and biochar.
Quality also lies in the packaging: in addition to FSC-certified paper labels and natural-color printing, we no longer use the usual metal cans but bag-in-boxes, to protect the oil from oxidation and for greater ease of handling, thanks to the integrated tap and lightweight material.
The types of oil:
Single-variety Caninese olive oil, certified organic, with a stronger, more bitter flavour.
Blend of three local varieties – Caninese, Leccino and Frantoio (supernatural but not formally certified) – with a milder, fruitier flavour.

The basic format, for ecological reasons is the 5 lt bag-in-box.

∅ How much do you need for a year? A family of three who happily use it on everything goes through about 5 litres a month. If you use it only raw and more sparingly, 3–5 5-litre cartons might last you until the following season (October).
