Very early on, from childhood, our tendency towards comparison and judgement takes shape, along with a detachment from our emotions (because they are deemed irrelevant, distracting, and unmanageable without adequate emotional guidance from adults) and from our own bodies (for the same reasons). This gives rise to forms of anxiety, limiting self-images, rigidity in relationships, and a gradual exclusion of the body and physical expression in favour of mental performance.

Here we can introduce a different space, in which artistic practice becomes a direct, bodily and symbolic experience, free from judgement and interpretation: to perceive boundaries, regulate emotional energy, experiment with choices and connect with sensations and emotions without having to explain them.
In short, a space to rediscover ourselves as ‘present!’ in the fullest sense of the word.
